Arrived Safely

We're here! Radisson SAS Beijing. Trip started off great with our Continental Airlines friend Rosina arranging a personal visit with the Boeing 777 Captain Dennis and his first officers in the weather room at the airport. Rosina scored seats with in-flight power for the electronic gadgets we brought. Got a tour of the cockpit and Capt. Dennis visited the kids a handful of times during the flight.... The kids were great -- entertained one another and Taylor even lost a tooth on board!!! It was a long flight overall and some of us were a little queasy, but made it through. Taylor and Alex even did a little homework on board. The kids took turns sitting with Jessi who did a little homework of her own. Our guide Sherry met us right outside of customs. A quick ride to the hotel -- about 20 minutes. We all decided to stay awake so that we get on China time a.s.a.p. All of us except for Ryan who fell asleep during landing and hasn't woken up since. We had a noodle/rice dinner in the hotel where we tried out some of our Mandarin with the wait staff. They were very helpful and didn't even roll their eyes once! Off to get some much needed and well-deserved shut eye. Can't believe we're in China!

We're so happy your flight went well.
Taylor - Nicole is very excited you lost a tooth.
Ryan - Jacob thinks it's so cool that you got to see the cockpit and the pilot!
We hope the rest of your trip and adoption goes well.
